Each year Spinifex enters a school team(s) into the local Touch Football competition. The number of teams created will change each year and will depend on student interest and staff availability. In previous years we have nominated 3-5 teams in the women's, men's and mixed divisions.
Students involved in this extra-curricular activity have had the opportunity to develop positive relationships with each other and the community. They also enhance social and mental health while building confidence and skills while playing sport. In 2019, the school mixed team competed and achieved runners up in the North Queensland All Schools Touch Football competition.
